Our rooms, behind the scenes
Each of our rooms is unique, with its own personality, and it's up to you to imagine the time that passes through this emblematic place in the center of Lyon. Aimée, the dreamy and ambitious habitée of the Opéra de Lyon, settles down to embroider in the velvet armchairs; Victor, the boatman, and his sweetheart Adèle spend their time admiring our restored paintings; Honoré, the former judge of the famous Palais de Justice, enjoys his bubble bath to round off an exciting day. Between the plunging view over Lyon and our peaceful interior courtyards; its muted lights and flamboyant character... The Bayard Bellecour hotel aims for the high standards and values of a bourgeois residence.
Please note that our rooms on the 1st floor are not served by an elevator.
Some rooms on the upper floors are accessible by elevator, others by staircase.
The Charming
A gem in the heart of Lyon
This room is ideal for one person or for a very short stay for two.
Elegant and practical for a short stay in Lyon, this room is a gem right in the heart of the city, close to Place Bellecour, Place Antonin Poncet, and Place des Céléstins. A charming little getaway that will do you good!
Our charming rooms can be equipped with a shower or bathtub, either open in a corner of the room or enclosed in a separate bathroom. Some rooms overlook Place Bellecour and offer a lovely view, while others, which are quieter, face the back of the hotel.
The walls feature floral patterns or fine stripes in solid colors, and the floors are either hardwood or carpeted.
Only some rooms are equipped with a television; for the others, a connected tablet can be made available to you.

Les Boudoirs
The ideal room for a short break for two!
The Boudoir rooms feature a variety of decorative motifs, wood paneling, hardwood floors, and a decorative fireplace. The perfect setting for a romantic getaway with a vintage feel!
Here, the bathroom can be equipped with either a shower or a bathtub; if it has a bathtub, it opens onto the bedroom, and if it has a shower, it is partially enclosed for more privacy. Additionally, these rooms may overlook Place Bellecour or the rear of the hotel.
Choose this room if you’d like to experience the Lyonese art of living; it will become your ideal retreat for restful nights after days filled with sightseeing and strolls.
The Traditionals
Between Tradition and a Contemporary Spirit
In this category, our rooms blend the refinement of Lyon’s traditional style with 21st-century comfort. Here, quiet is guaranteed, as all rooms face the courtyard. The furniture is authentic period pieces. Some rooms feature hardwood floors, while others have carpeted floors.
The bathroom can be open, located in a corner of the room, or enclosed in a separate room, depending on your preference.
We recommend this category if you’re looking for a spacious, comfortable room where tranquility reigns. Ideal for a 3- to 4-night stay.
Our traditional rooms can be furnished with a double bed or two twin beds, depending on availability on the day of your arrival.

Our rooms are all equipped differently. Some have a classic bathroom, a closed and separate room; others are more atypical and have a bathroom that opens onto the bedroom area where curtains or screens protect privacy.
Our duvets and pillows are fully synthetic and hypoallergenic.
