Ideally located on Place Bellecour—from which it takes its name—and right in the heart of the Presqu’île district with its lively neighborhoods full of bouchons and small cafés, our charming hotel welcomes you into an authentic residence built in 1571.
Since then, our building has served many purposes until 1921, when the Bayard Hotel opened its doors. Thanks to the latest renovations completed in 2020, we’ve successfully restored the style and charm the hotel must have had in its early days.
Each of our 26 rooms has been designed as a unique world, with a different decor in every one: bathtubs or walk-in showers; floral wallpaper and polished wood paneling; antique furniture and heavy fabrics; wingback chairs and dressing tables; soft lighting and retro music…
The 20th-century Bayard Bellecour Hotel seeks to challenge the norms of the hospitality industry by offering you a true journey back in time. Forget modern, cookie-cutter hotels—here, you step into history.
Access to the front desk, located on the1st floor, and to the guest rooms is exclusively via the original staircase (15 steps). Please note that you will need to carry your luggage up to the 1st floor yourself.
Additionally, due to its protected architectural status, our hotel is not wheelchair-accessible. However, we do have rooms accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

Breakfast is served buffet-style in our dining room from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Starting at 7:30 a.m., we can serve a continental breakfast in your room (simplified menu).
If you’re leaving early, before 7:00 a.m., we can also prepare a take-out breakfast for you, including juice, a hot beverage, a few slices of cake, fresh fruit, and more...
